Adding keywords

Add keywords to track in SERP Lens. Configure location, device, refresh interval, and language for each keyword.

Add keywords to a project to start tracking their rankings. Each keyword is configured with a location, device type, refresh interval, and optional language — and uses ranking credits based on those settings.

Adding a keyword

  1. Open a project

Go to Projects in the sidebar and select the project you want to add keywords to.

  2. Click Add keywords

Click the Add keywords button to open the keyword form.

  3. Configure the keyword

    Fill in the keyword settings:

    • Keyword — the search term to track (e.g. "best project management tools")
    • Location — the country to check rankings in (e.g. United States). SERP Lens supports 200+ countries.
    • Device — Desktop, Mobile, or Both. Choosing Both tracks the keyword separately on each device and uses 2x credits.
    • Refresh interval — how often to check:
      • Daily (31 credits) — standard tracking for active campaigns
      • Weekly (4 credits) — efficient for trend monitoring
      • Monthly (1 credit) — lowest cost for long-term tracking
    • Language (optional) — the Google interface language for the search
  4. Check credits and save

The form shows the credit cost for this keyword. Verify you have enough available credits, then save.

Info

Credit costs are per keyword-location-device combination. See ranking credits for the full calculation formula.

Bulk import

You can add multiple keywords at once by entering them one per line in the keyword form. All keywords in a bulk add share the same location, device, and refresh interval settings.

Info
CSV import for bulk keyword uploads is coming soon.

Editing keywords

After adding a keyword, you can change its refresh interval, device setting, or tags. Changing these settings adjusts the credit cost accordingly — increasing frequency or adding devices uses more credits, while decreasing frequency frees credits up.

Deleting keywords

Remove keywords you no longer need to free up credits. You can delete individual keywords or use bulk selection to remove multiple at once.

Warning
Deleting a keyword removes all its historical ranking data permanently.
